Our Fowler’s Ales

Fowler’s microbrewery always keeps three of its best liked real ales available in the Prestoungrange Gothenburg in the James Fewell and Lord Mayor’s Bars. These are described in some detail below:

Gothenburg Porter	Prestonpans 80/	Prestonpans IPA	The 45 Wee Heavy
ABV 4.4% Colour - black Taste - pronounced roast barley character and a long, dark chocolate and espresso coffee finish Classic Swedish Style Porter	ABV 4.2% Colour - amber Taste - complex malt with marked caramel notes solid bitterness with pleasant green hoppy finish. Classic Scottish export style beer	ABV 4.1% Colour - pale straw Taste - light, crisp, refreshing malt with complex hop bitterness and a delicious dry hop aroma Classic IPA	ABV : 7.5% Colour - Chestnut Taste -  Extremely malty, rich and fruity with low bitterness (This ale will be brewed from time to  time but presently is not a regular.)

From time to time, and for particular occasions, special brews will be created. These are announced in the two bars and here on this web page.

What Special Do You Want?

If you have suggestions for a special brew, please feel more than welcome to contact the Head Brewer. If it is economically viable and can be scheduled in rest assured it will be. We are more than willing to oblige.

And why not make up or join a BrewSet that can create that special brew making it that much more fun, that much more of a celebration.
