Culloden Today and its Future Interpretation

Culloden Shows a Brilliant Way Ahead

The plans in Prestonpans to create an excellent year round accesible Resource Centre for the Battle of Prestonpans have been inspired by what has already been achieved at Culloden by The National Trust for Scotland; and what is in store for the future. Alexander Bennett, the Culloden Project Director, visited Prestonpans earlier in the year to describe what was aspired to. They have now secured some £8 million funding to recreate the field of battle and build a wholly new Resource Cente for their 400,000 estimated annual visitors.

A visit to Culloden the way it still is showed what it is that already attracts so many visitors.
