Merritt Clearly Meritorious

Michelle Loughery Goes Country

Michelle Loughery, who made such a dramatic impact in the Rockies with her youth supported murals work in Vernon, winning a British Columbia Community Achievement Award earlier this year, is now hard at work in Merritt, BC.

The town is famed for its annual Merritt Mountain Music Festival, and the Walk of Stars who have appeared is being captured there in murals by Michelle Loughery. The Merritt Music Festival recently won a Canadian Country Music Award as The Country Music Festival of the Year. Michelle and murals project colleagues from Merritt were in Calgary, Alberta when Claude Lelievre collected the award for the town.
