Prestonpans Battle Tapestry Research Visits
The Trust has undertaken extensive field-visits to ensure its Prestonpans Tapestry is signed off across the French and Highland communities involved and where possible that local voluteer embroidery stitchers are found. The Tapestry website contains all details of its creation and its Highlands Parade on the 265th anniversary of the Prince's journey in 1745- linked HERE. It was completed for 'Private Viewing' by all the Stitchers in Prestonpans on July 26th 2010. A CD [Greentrax] of contemporary music and a DVD [Eric Robinson] of its creation were then published in parallel with the definitive full colour Official Guidebook [Burke's Peerage with Prestoungrange University Press].
