Our Witches Remembered: 10th Anniversary

Tenth anniversary of the Pardon of the Pans 81 Witches remembered ...

As always it was a quiet act of remembrance of the gross injustice done to the 81 witches put to death in Prestonpans. At their memorial tablets in the south garden of the Prestoungrange Gothenburg, Ros Parkyn and Caroline from the Prestoungrange Players recalled abstracts from Roy Pugh's trilogy of plays and Roger Knox sang.

Gillian Hart ensured that the herbs we lay each year were elegantly presented.

The mural does require some restoration in the coming months and Andrew Crummy, the artist in 2004, has this in hand. Annemarie Allan's book, published then with support from HLF is still available as are the plays by Roy Pugh.
