Lidl Thought from Rubble Burns

Our Right to Sigh, Our Rite to Cry

Fairfor yer stone and concrete face
Last vestige o’ the brewers’ race
Tae ca’ ye doon’s a fair disgrace
Or so they say

Ance office for the Fowler’s brand
The Arts folk thocht tae ta’en yer hand
And in this democratic land
Sought right tae buy

But doon ye came – a tragic fall
Rased by Lidl's breaker's ball
Ye never thocht they’d hae the gall
Tae smash ye up

Farewell Community’s Right tae buy
It fain wad make an artist cry
Whilst ithers pass it wi’ a sigh:-
“ ‘Twas worth a try!”.
