7. Fireworks as Lord Mayor of Goteborg Launches Goth Centenary

The Fireworks Were Great but Alas they were Late!

The Goth wishes to apologise for the late running of its Fireworks Display on July 23rd when the Lord Mayor of Goteborg, Sweden, was welcomed at a Civic Reception - to launch the Goth's Centenary Celebrations: 1908- 2008. It had been scheduled for 10 pm-ish as announced in both the East Lothian Courier and East Lothian News.

We realise that it will have disturbed some who had already turned in for the night and awoken youngsters. Our renewed apologies and we trust that such disturbance did not create too much inconvenience.

P.S. The Lord Mayor of Goteborg, Jorgen Linder, has written on his retun to Sweden regretting the delays which arose and proffering his apologies also.
