Utdrag ur magistratens protokoll - Excerpt from the minutes of the Magistrates from the 7th of April 1865, beginning with a letter from the committee that is investigating the causes of poverty. Their opinion is that it's all caused by the high consumption of alcohol, especially vodka. The committee suggests that a new company is started, that is in charge of serving spirits and that the profits that the company makes are to go back to the poor. This is all accepted by the Magistrates. There is also a list included of the people that have the rights to serve alcohol at that moment, before the company takes over, and how many jugs of vodka they serve per year. (NB: Two Scottish families, the Dicksons and Carnegies, were instrumental in the committee's report.)

Stadsfullmaktiges protokoll - dated the 13th of April 1865. The minutes from the City Council where it is decided with 29 votes against 12 to start a company that controls the selling of alcohol. On page 10 -11 are the rules listed for how the company should be run.

Letter of complaint - A letter dated 22nd of April 1865 from people who at that time had the rights to serve alcohol in Gothenburg, complaining because they can't have their licenses renewed.
