Foreshore, Sea Wall, High Street
by Andrew Crummy

A little further along the sea wall, Andrew Crummy has used a number of historical images of transportation to tell the story of Prestongrange and its industrial heritage. The central portrait is of David Spence, founder of the Scottish Mining Museum and of the Prestongrange Industrial Heritage Museum. He is surrounded by trains, boats, trams, horses and pulleys, and by images of men, women and children hauling and carrying coal as they did long ago.
