MacGonagall Beckons ...and ponders The Ruin of The Coeval [Auld Fowler's HQ]

July 23rd is MacGonagal Night and he's up to his usual mischief ...

CLICK ON POSTER BELOW TO ENLARGE AND PRINT OUT

McGonagal has indeed put ink to pen and pen to paper to share his worst poetry at The Gothenburg on July 23rd from 6pm till 11pm.

The challenge for all who care to join the Arts Festival on this occasion to which entrance is free immediately following on the Burriss Bursary Awards Exhibition [admission also free of course from 4 pm] is to pen even worse poetry and earn their McGonagall supper. And the best/ worst poetry team will win a refund of their team's bar bill for the evening up to £25.

The theme is one close to all our hearts, and one we must all be delighted that McGonagall has chosen to focus on:

THE RUIN OF AULD FOWLERS
________________________________________________________

Note for Beginners @ this lark:

1. McGonagall Suppers are eaten in reverse order, pudding first followed by main meal and washed down with a starter.

2. Each 'table' is deemed a poetry 'team', and must enter at least one poem per four seatees to justify the free supper ... but can submit up to three. Length to be at least 12 lines but quality focussed on the theme must be abysmal.

3. The theme is THE RUIN OF AULD FOWLERS
