Hello Again to Wintoun House

Seemed like only yesterday that the Sixt van took the effects away, and now they are back again at Wintoun House. The putative search for appropriate digs in town drew a blank and when the South Wing became available from August 1st 2003 Prestoungrange, Dolphinstoun, the Baron Sergeand and Lady Prestoungrange all jumped at the chance.

The first photograph below shows the southeast elevation of Wintoun House and digs stretch across the third floor and also run along the south ( off to the left ) which of course overlooks Sir David's Loch.

That third floor is 67 stone steps from the Residents' Entrance which is on the south with of course a hand rail to help.

Camera work thus far would reveal an unfurnished interior so why not look out of the windows at the features of the fine House?

Sir David's Loch and the view to the Lammemuir Hills are splendid and so is the evening and the setting sun.

The Gothenburg haunts the interior already as Lady Prestoungrange completes the painting of a bar table for future use as a bathroom table!
