The Goth at Armadale

There was never any doubt in our minds that other Goths are still out and about and around, but apart from Dean Tavern in Newtongrange not a great deal has been heard of them.

The round robin to all who might be a Goth still in action in 2003 to enable the people concerned to meet/ hear of the coming of the Lord Mayor to Prestonpans brought good even proud news from the Goth at Main Street West, Armadale, Bathgate, West Lothian.

They have staked their claim to seniority by longevity and furnished their Annual Report for 2002 which showed a healthy quarter million sales and a creditable bottom line. Prestoungrange with Anne Wills and Lady Prestoungrange visited at noontime on June 7th camera to the ready and received a very warm welcome indeed ( simply walked in the door unannounced ) and were soon quenching their thirst with complimetary beers although no food was available for lunch!

Their Goth is pictured below and the fascinating history including the landmark tower is linked here. It is now hoped they will visit at Prestonpans on July 23rd.
