Preston Lodge Creates The Japanese Mood

Barons' Courts Delighted to Have Sponsored MultiCurricula Japanese Activities

Preston Lodge scholars along with a dozen and more of their teachers came to The Prestoungrange Gothenburg on May 30th to say "thank you" in Japanese and with things Japenese. The sponsorship of the programme by the Barons' Courts Charity was one of its important 2005/ 2006 activities and it has clearly been a runaway success.

Pictured below are some of the youngsters creating Japanese Music and Movement; and there was plenty of art work on display that had been created over the year. Provost Pat O'Brien who himself had grandchildren performing was in attendance as he had been earlier at the Japanese Exhibition staged at the school itself the previous week. Andrew Laurie, The Head Chef, provided the appropriate Japanese banquet.

Barons' Courts Charity has already promised to give support for 2006/ 2007 once an appropriate theme has been agreed upon. And we have been gratified to receive an East Lothian Award for Enterprise in Schools as nominated by Preston Lodge.
