Volunteer Stitchers Needed to Present the Tapestry

Parade Dates are now Firming Up across the Prince's Route to Edinburgh

A million thanks to so many Stitchers and others who have helped the Prince get the exhibition/ parade schedule shown below together. The dates listed are now firm when the completed Prestonpans Tapestry will be on public exhibition - after of course our own Private Viewing & Grand Gala on Monday July 26th in Prestonpans [your invitations are going out this week].

STITCHERS ARE ASKED TO VOLUNTEER ... for a parade location near you to be in attendance during the public exhibition for such hours as you can spare to talk to visitors ... and indeed to bring along your own party of admirers! Nothing is more convincing for a visitor than to meet someone who was actually there doing the stitching when it was created ..... Any PR/ local press/ tv contacts you have are also welcome of course as well.

Arran Johnston, aka Bonnie Prince Charlie, is co-ordinating the entire parade along 'his' route as in 1745, as is only proper! He wants/ needs as much volunteer help as he can get. And if you can help, the Standard has been raised, please be in touch with him directly here by email - arran_johnston@hotmail.com - or with Gillian Hart or Dorie Wilkie letting them know.

Many thanks. Now for the Schedule so far:

ANY IDEAS FOR EDINBURGH IN OCTOBER please ...

So far we have not been able to find a suitable venue in Edinburgh for October. Any suggestions where a Stitcher knows how to actually 'fix' the venue welcome. Once again please send to Arran Johnston/ Gillian Hart/ Dorie Wilkie.
