Battle of Pots and Pans Goes On Tour ... and to The Fringe

Trustees Proudly Announce Battle of Pots & Pans is to Tour East Lothian from May 12th / 17th 2008

When Andrew Dallmeyer was invited to write the Trust's first Living History play, Battle of Pots and Pans in time to premiere at the Three Harbours Festival in June 2007, it was always the intention to take the play on tour. It was to be the Trust's calling card around the county [accompanied by the BattleBus]. But of course to achieve that requires careful planning for the amateur actors and singers, as well as tracking down suitable venues.

Andrew Dallmeyer has taken on the role of getting the players and singers together and The Rev. Robert Simpson of Prestongrange Church kindly helped find kirks and halls across East Lothian where the play will now be presented during the week May 12th to 17th.

Going to The Fringe as well from August 4th/ 10th at St Cuthbert's Church

But having put in all that effort, it seemed a shame not to go to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August for a week and to offer the play on September 18th at the HLF supported Battle Symposium in the Prestonpans Community Centre. As the programme schedule below shows, all is now in place and all Supporters are invited to attend at whichever of the 15 performances is most convenient.

Quite a season and our very very grateful thanks to everyone involved.
