Oregon Trail at Sunset

Visting Vale, Oregon at Sunset

For those pioneers who travelled the Oregon Trail more than a century ago, sunset must have been a time to be looked forward to after the heat of the day and its uncertainties.

The muralists in Vale Oregon, which stands four square on that old trail, have beautifully captured those historic days in a manner that should surely bring any modern wagon train to a halt. It did ours! A selection is given below following a fleeting pause late one Sunday evening. [Note the imaginative use of the 3D wagon for the bank's trash cans.]
